Rear Door Trim

• Removal and installation is described for the right side of the vehicle. Removing and installing on the left side is identical.

Removing

- Switch off ignition.

- Loosen the trim - 1 - from the door trim panel using the wedge (T10383/1).






- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 2 - (4.5 Nm).






- Remove the screw - 1 - (4.5 Nm).







When loosening the door trim, the mounting elements could be damaged. To prevent this, follow the specified location and sequence for the clip connections to be loosened when removing the door trim.

- Remove the door trim in the - specified sequence - from the release mechanisms, use the wedges (T10383).






- Pull door trim vertically upward out of window shaft.

- Disengage the cable - 1 - from the interior door mechanism on the inside of the door trim panel.






- Depending on vehicle equipment, disconnect wiring harnesses from door trim.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

If the door trim panel is being replaced on a vehicle with manual window regulator, then it is necessary to adapt the new door panel using workshop tool. It will be necessary to make a hole in the door trim panel for the window regulator shaft.

• Check the clips for damage and replace if necessary.


Before installing the door trim, make sure the release mechanisms on all the clips are in the - 1 position -.

It is not possible to install the door trim correctly if the clips are in the - 2 position -.
